Who am I?

Who am I?

I am an American translator with permanent residence and business domicile in Germany, where I have lived for over thirty years. My educational background is in the humanities. After receiving my bachelor's degree in modern languages from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, I later earned my master's degree in German Philology at the Free University of Berlin. I am a native speaker of English with near-native fluency in German and advanced conversational proficiency in Russian. Since 1988 I have been a freelance translator based formerly in Berlin and now in rural Brandenburg. Initially, my work primarily involved technical translations from German into English. Since 1994 I have specialized in the translation of medical documentation and literature, primarily in the field of orthopedics and trauma surgery. In addition to German to English translations, I also provide English-language voice over services.
